Mikey Meza

Hola! Its Mikey. I’ve been designing for over 10 years, but creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I was drawn to creating things whether it was graphics, taking pictures, or anything involving technology. I’ve always been fascinated by how design and tech work together to shape how people experience the world. Today, I combine strategy, clean design, and modern tools to help businesses grow with clarity and confidence. My work is built on intention, not trends and every project is approached with purpose. Outside of design, you’ll usually find me with a cup of coffee, behind a camera capturing moments, or spending time with my family. Those things keep me grounded and remind me why meaningful work matters. Design isn’t just what I do. It’s how I think.

Ask the designer

What made you start Selfless Design Co.?

I’ve always had the idea of owning a design agency, but it started organically. Referrals came in for different types of projects — logos, websites, flyers — and I said yes to almost all of them to learn, gain experience, and expand my knowledge in design. I later went to college and took a range of design courses, from design history and theory to a Business for Creatives course, and that was the green light I needed to make it official. I kept seeing small businesses come to me for a logo, then come back for shirts, flyers, signage — and I realized I wanted to build something different. A creative partner that treats every project like it matters, because it does. Your business is important, and helping people see that through a strong brand identity is what Selfless Design Co. is all about. My job is to make sure what I create works for you — and looks good doing it. :)

What’s your design philosophy?

Everything I create has to work. I pay attention to the small details, so a beautiful website that doesn’t convert is just decoration. I design with intention — every section, every layout choice, every call-to-action is there for a reason. If it doesn’t serve your audience or move your business forward, it doesn’t make the cut.

Why do you hand-design every logo?

Fun fact! I can’t draw! Every logo I design is built digitally from the ground up. I know there are talented designers who sketch by hand first, but that’s not me. What I do promise is that your brand deserves more than something a machine generated in 30 seconds. Every logo I create is designed with intention — no AI, no auto-generators. It’s a slower process, but it means your mark is truly yours. That’s a standard I won’t compromise on.

What’s it like working with you?

I’m pretty easygoing and a good listener. I start every project with a discovery session so I can understand your business, your audience, and where you’re headed. From there, the light bulb turns on and I start creating — after the coffee, of course. But you’re never left in the dark! I keep communication open, timelines tight, and revisions focused.

What sets Selfless Design Co. apart?

I won’t disappear after launching your site or finishing a project. Every client gets a care plan because your website needs ongoing attention to stay effective. I’m not here for one project — I’m here to grow with you. That long-term mindset shapes everything I do. And if you need a one-and-done job? That’s perfectly fine with me too!

Anything people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m fluent in English and Spanish, I’ve been in the creative space for over 10 years, and I still get excited every time a client sees their new site for the first time. My first official design job was a menu for an ice cream shop when I was 19 years old. I think it’s still there.

How would you describe your design style in three words?

Clean. Modern. Professional.

What’s a design trend you can’t stand?

AI flyers. Hire a designer.

What’s one thing you wish every client knew before starting a project?

“How much?” is always the first question — and I get it! My pricing is firm, but I offer installment plans that work for you. Ask me about them! And while you’re at it, ask about The Business Launcher Bundle too.
